Note | Notes from Eva: Stephen joined the Ont Regt Militia in 1933 and went on active duty 1939-1945. He Served on the Coronation contingent June 2nd 1953. He Was with the Royal Armoured Corp. O.C.T.U. at Sandhurst 1943 where he received his commission as Lieut. He commanded the Militia 1954-1957, and was made Lieut. Col., GSO I of 16 Militia Grp 1957 - 1964. He was employed for 20 years with the emergency Organisation Durham Region. He received the following decorations: Commander of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem; Canada Decoration, Efficiency Medal, Canada Voluntary Service Medal and clasp, italy Star, 1939-45 Star, Fr-Ger. Star, Def. of Britain Medal, WWII Medal. |
